I arrived in Vancouver, courtesy of Air Canada in mid afternoon of 30 May. The bike, packed in a cardboard box, arrived undamaged; I assembled it and looked for a local motel. First panic was to get some local currency and it took a while before I found a bank that would accept Visa. With this sorted, I bedded down and set off early the following day. The route across Canada pretty much defines itself. Leaving Vancouver the Trans Canada highway heads for Hope and then up the Fraser Canyon to Cache Creek.
